Homemade Playdough

This is an old project that I am copying over from my kid's craft blog. I don't have the time to keep up with both blogs so I am considering deleting the other one and wanted to copy this post over before doing so.

Homemade Playdough

Ingredients:
2 cups Flour
1 cup Salt
4 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
2 Tbsp Lukewarm Water
Food Coloring

Mix and cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes stirring constantly. It is done when the dough pulls away from the pan. Knead until smooth. Store in ziploc bags or airtight container.

Jeremy helped by pouring the ingredients in the pan and kneading in the food coloring when it was done.

Playdough is way more fun when you make it yourself dontchaknow?!

Jer made dinosaurs who tried to eat each other (Daddy helped with the blue one). He used them like action figures with different voices and story lines.

Hours of fun from ingredients we already had on hand!

Such a precious little fellow! My favorite thing in the world used to be clay...don't even know if they make that anymore, but PlayDough is so much cleaner and nicer! I had forgotten about it...until I kept the nursery at church a few Sunday's ago...the children LOVED it!

I'm glad you all enjoyed it! Jer prefers this stuff over regular playdough. Steff - You should have seen him a couple of years ago when his mohawk was about four inches long! :)
