50 Family Christmas Activities



Wanting to focus on time with the family this holiday season but not sure what to do? Here is a list of 50 fun, family activities for the holidays. Obviously you don't want to do all of them in one year or you would just be trading one kind of chaos for another. Go through the list as a family and pick out a couple that you would like to do together. Save the rest for next year.

  1. Go for a walk
  2. Find a local Christmas tree farm that will let you chop down a tree together
  3. Have a snowball fight
  4. Play a board game
  5. Turn off all of the electronics and enjoy your time together
  6. Drive or walk around and look at Christmas lights
  7. Build a snowman
  8. Make a starry night flashlight
  9. Take a hike and look for natural items that can be used to decorate with
  10. Go bowling
  11. Build an igloo
  12. Decorate cookies
  13. Read the Christmas story from a Bible
  14. Visit a live nativity
  15. Read a Christmas story as a family
  16. Put together a puzzle
  17. Snuggle up under some blankets and have a movie night
  18. Find toys that are no longer being played with and donate them to a local family shelter
