Christmas Decorations

Here are some pictures of our Christmas decorations so far. I still have a few projects that I want to do over the next few days to add to it but so far I'm pretty happy with how things are turning out. :-)

You might notice that the star on our tree is a little crooked. I usually have to make sure everything is straight and symetrical but this one is actually intentional! We love the movie "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" so this year we decided to go for over the top Whoville-style decorations and the stars on their trees are usually tilted or bending down.

Our son loves playing with this Veggie Tales nativity scene...which is why we currently have a missing wise man. ;-)

We hang our keepsake ornaments on the wall so they can't get knocked off of the tree and broken.

These icicle lights in the doorway are just magical at night!

How do you get that train around the tree? So beautiful! It all looks so festive! I am stopping by from Nester's tour. If you want to see my tour, click on the 'Christmas 2009' tag on the left sidebar of my blog to see my Christmas decorating posts! Merry Christmas!

Thank you all for the sweet comments! The village and train both came from Home Depot, believe it or not. The train came with support bars that you can attach to the tree so it sits halfway up the tree. I think it just adds another whimsical element to the tree and it's nice that small children can't reach it!

I love all your decorations, so nice! And that train is the best thing I have ever seen, my son would go nuts for that! Next year I will have to hunt one down. :)
