Halloween has always been my favorite holiday and usually this blog is packed full of spooky projects all October long but I just haven't been feeling it this year. We have been crazy busy and it didn't help that I had plans to do an outdoor haunt but haven't had any luck locating the supplies for the props that I wanted to make. I still have some projects in the works though and I will be spending the second half of October trying to make up for the lack of posts during the first half. :) Today's project is for fun trick or treat flashlight shapes!
We all want our kiddos to stay safe while trick or treating and one thing they will need is a flashlight so they can be seen by vehicles and not have to stumble around in the dark. To make the boring old flashlight a bit more fun, why not add a shape that matches their costume? For this one I used the Batman symbol. It would also work well with other superhero logos or even a jack o' lantern face.
All you have to do is grab a flashlight from the dollar store, cut out a circle of cardstock that fits inside the ring on the flashlight, and cut out your shape with an exacto knife. Use a glue stick to apply a layer of adhesive to one side and stick it onto the lense of your flashlight. You can also make the circle the size of the outside of the ring if you want to just tape it on so that you can easily remove it later.
