Cabinet Re-Do

I have been busy the last couple of weeks trying to finish up the multiple projects that I had going around the house. Yesterday I finished the first batch of kitchen cabinets! All of the cabinets looked like this BEFORE:

The stain was a little too 70's and I hated the handles with the strange center placement so I decided to give them a makeover and now they look like this!:

I am so happy with how they turned out!!! I used wood filler in the handle holes and then a combination of primers and paint which you can read about here.

The hinges are the same ones that were originally on the cabinets and the knobs are from home depot.

I couldn't get a good picture of them together, but I love the way the new cabinets look with the faux frosted glass scroll window I did a few weeks ago!

I have a lot of cabinets so I'm only about a quarter of the way done but I'm really happy with how they are turning out so it is definitely worth the time. Eventually I want to get a black countertop and some kind of black and white flooring but I'm not sure yet if it is going to fit in the budget.

Oh my goodness Megan - we just starting the same project!

We're painting our cabinets white, getting black counter tops, adding some bead board and painting the back splash light blue!

I just started blogging about it tonight. We're not starting the real work 'till April, but we found our cabinets this week.

I can't wait to see what else you're going to do with yours!!!
