Buttermilk Biscuits

These biscuits are really easy to throw together and use ingredients you probably already have on hand. Including a substitution for buttermilk if you don't have any in the house.

Buttermilk Biscuits
adapted from Cooking Light

Ingredients:
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
5 Tablespoons Butter, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup Buttermilk (or 3/4 cup Milk with 2 1/4 teaspoon Lemon Juice)
3 Tablespoons Honey

Preheat oven to 400F.

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter and combine until coated with dry mixture and resembling coarse lumps. Chill for 10 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together buttermilk and honey until well blended. Add to flour mixture and stir just until moist.

Place on greased cookie sheet in 1/4 cup mounds. Bake at 400F for 14 minutes or until lightly browned.

Makes 1 Dozen.
