Freezer Paper Stencil

I have been seeing freezer paper stencil shirts all over the place lately and I decided to try it for our Halloween costumes!

SUPPLIES:

Freezer Paper

T-Shirt

Fabric Paint 

Foam Paint Brush

First, trace or print your design onto the dull side of the freezer paper. To print, I taped the freezer paper to a piece of cardstock and just ran it through my printer.

Then, using a precision knife, cut out the design. Make sure you keep the cuts smooth and don't get out of the lines or your paint will bleed out.

Put your freezer paper stencil onto the shirt glossy side down and iron it on. Pay close attention to the edges and make sure they are all sealed down.

Use the foam brush to apply your fabric paint. I recommend putting a piece of plastic or waxed paper in the shirt so that the paint doesn't bleed through to the back.

Let it dry (or use a hair dryer if you are in a hurry) then carefully pull the stencil away. It is also recommended to lay a piece of fabric over your design and iron it to seal the edges.
