Snowball Candleholders

These snowball candle holders were really easy and I love how they turned out!

Start with basic candle holders from a craft store or dollar tree.

Use a paint brush to apply mod podge. Sprinkle on some Epsom salt (found in the first aid section) and allow to dry.
Brush on a second coat of mod podge and more Epsom salt.

The salt gives gives a little sparkle and enough coverage that battery operated tealights look like real flames.

We just bought a huge box of epsom salt to make snowballs with this year, but now I think we will have to add votive to this list! I bet the Dollar Stores are FULL of them this time of year too. Thank you so much for another great idea!

Can you use regular candles inside? You mention the battery operated tealights but I'm wondering if regular candles would be OK?
