A mad scientist's lab wouldn't be complete without a worm hole generator! I mean, why wait for a worm hole to appear on it's own and put your time travel plans on hold when you can just create one of your own? This was inspired by one I found here.
The box is a regular shipping box spray painted with textured black paint. The tubes are from an old radio but you could use toilet paper rolls. On top of the tubes are the rolls from tape dispensers. They were hot glued together then spray painted silver. The lightbulbs are regular appliance lights. The wire, washer and nuts we just had laying around. The tubing, psi meter, clips, spring, and circuit board were all picked up at a surplus store. The ball is a dowel rod end and the glass is a candle holder from Dollar Tree which we also had on hand. So altogether I would say that I spent just a little over $5 on this project.
I think it turned out pretty cool considering it is made mostly out of unused junk!
